Rib cartilage is often used in complex revision rhinoplasty. This patient had 2 previous nose operations which left her with nasal obstruction and an irregular shape. Therefore, rib cartilage was used to give her a better airway and cosmetic result. This patient presented with functional and cosmetic concerns about her nose. Dr Z recommended a combined functional and cosmetic septorhinoplasty as well as chin implant to improve facial proportion. The postoperative photos are taken eight weeks following surgery and so far the patient is very happy with the result. There is still a lot of swelling to resolve at this very early postoperative stage and her nose will continue to improve as the swelling settles over time 😊
